Document Description
The proposed project consists of construction of a new subterranean water metering vault, subterranean pressure reducing valve vault, and new subterranean pipelines for a water supply interconnection between Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD) and the City of Glendale (Glendale) to provide an additional water supply in the event that CVWD's local groundwater source or existing purchased water source becomes inadequate, or emergencies such as earthquakes or fire disrupts CVWD's normal source of water supply. The project also entails the construction of an aboveground 4-foot high electrical cabinet that will house telemetry and electrical controls. The project site for the metering vault and pressure reducing valve vault are located within Crescenta Valley County Park, which is owned by the County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks & Recreation. The pipelines are located within the City of Glendale.
