Document Description
Mow open grassland fields and/or perimeter fuel break surrounding the petaluma Adobe State Historic Park, as part of annual fuel abatement activities for fire protection. A District resource ecologist and/or DPR-qualified bird surveyor will survey the project area for ground-nesting birds immediately prior to mowing; any nests found will be flagged and avoided. No ground disturbance will occur; mowing will only occur after the ground is dry enough to prevent mowers from displacing soil in wet areas.
