Document Description
The purpose of the replacement well project is to improve the quality of water served to existing and future customers. The well will be constructed in conformance with the Merced County well ordinance and the California Well Standards (Bulletin 74-81 and supplement Bulletin 74-90), whichever is more stringent. These goals will be accomplished by constructing a replacement Well No. 5 for existing Well No. 03, which has experienced increasing nitrate and total dissolved solids concentrations.
