Document Description
DTSC certified closure of the IT Vine Hill Complex (VHC) with wastes remaining in place in June 1999. Under those conditions, state and federal regulations rquire that a postclosure plan for a 30-year period be developed and implemented by the facility. The Post Closure Permit outlines the procedures to fulfill these regulatory requirements which consist of three primary functions: a. maintenance of closure structures, b. environmental monitoring; and c. maintenance of financial mechanisms to fund the postclosure activities.
