Document Description
Construct three separate ADA-compliant wooden tree observation platforms leading from adjacent trails to the popular Colonel Armstrong, Parson Jones, and Goosepen redwood trees located in Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. Project prevents further damage to root systems of redwoods caused from unauthorized pedestrian foot traffic by providing a defined path of travel for visitors who wish to approach trees. Revegetate areas surrounding all three trees with native plant species. Project protects natural resources, improves accessibility and visitor services, and supports continued use.
