Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is proposing to approve a draft Interim Remedial Measures Plan (Plan) pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, California Health & Safety Code (H&SC). The purpose of this Plan is to implement interim remedial measures for the Site that is protective of public health and safety and the environment. The scope of the interim remedial measures is to 1) treat and remove a 15,000 cubic yard (CY) soil stockpile from the Site that is contaminated with lead, cadmium, copper and zinc found to pose a risk to human health and the environment through potential exposure to hazardous substances in the stockpile; and 2) dismantle and remove several buildings from the site that are a potential physical threat to public health should the buildings or building floors collapse. The draft Plan was prepared in accordance with H&SC Section 25356.1.
