Document Description
This amendment notice is being recirculated to address the inclusion of an Amendment to the Special Use Standards, Section 16.42.020 of the Development Code to permit the height of towers, steeples, or other similar architectural features on churches and church facilities to exceed the height limits of the underlying zone, up to a maximum of 80 feet, subject to a conditional use permit and compliance with Section 16.42.020(B) of the code. The Amendment of the Special Use Standards section of the Development Code is necessary to clarify an inconsistency in the Code regarding permitted height of church appurtenances and to permit the application for the B.A.P.S. Temple and Cultural Center to proceed as proposed.
