The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code for the Plano Street Bridge Widening Project. The Project will include: Widening the existing 2-lane bridge structure, reconstructing the roadway approaches, and relocating existing utilities on the bridge. The existing bridge will be widened symmetrically about the centerline of the existing bridge structure using cast-in-place T-Girder superstructures. The width of the bridge structure will be widened from its current width of approximately 10 meters to 24.35 meters. The widened bridge will allow for two (2) travel lanes, a bike lane, and a sidewalk in each direction and will also include construction of railing and lighting. The widened bridge will have a total length of approximately 179 meters and will have four (4) abutments and 15 intermediate bents. The widened bridge and utilities will be located completely within the existing right-of-way.
