Document Description
The project site is a roadbed crossing a seasonal flood channel of the Big Sur River. A portion of the access road was washed out during high flows in recent years. A Streambed Alteration Agreement (R3-2000-1311) was obtained to repair the roadbed but was not completed due to lack of funds. The proposed project would remove existing material from the damaged roadbed and replace it with clean washed quarry rock ranging from approximately 0.75 inches to 1.5 inches in diameter. Approximately 37 cubic yards of material would be placed in an area approximately 85 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 1 foot deep. The project is necessary to allow vehicular access to a cabin for purposes such as refilling an onsite propane tank or servicing the septic system. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2003-0121-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
