Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 7; Sec 15307
Reasons for Exemption
The Class 7 exemption consists of activities taken by regulatory agencies for protection of natural resources. The project falls within the exemption because it is an activity undertaken by the Department, the State's Trustee agency for fish and wildlife, to restore and enhance native habitat in mid-tidal zones on the southwest edge of Indian Island in Humboldt Bay through the removal of invasive, non-native sea grass. The proposed project, in turn, involves no construction activities.
