Document Description
The proposed project is the acquisition for the Monterey Branch Line from the Union Pacific Railroad for institution of rail service on the existing railroad right-of-way. The proposed rail service is envisioned to provide intra-city service between the Monterey Peninsula and San Francisco, with concurrent connectivity provided to intra-city Amtrak routes and to commuter rail service (Caltrain) that is available or planned between Monterey County and the Bay Area.
