Document Description
The proposed project would involve the construction and operation of two stream gaging stations along Carson Creek, adjacent to the EHWWTP. The gaging station at Site 1 would consist of a sonic sensor mounted on the existing Latrobe Road bridge with conduit running along the length of the bridge to the stream bank. The gaging station at Site 2 would involve site preparation, including the removal of ground vegetation and grading a small portion of the stream bottom. The total area of ground disturbance would be approximately 300 sq.ft. for site preparation. Excavation would not exceed 1 foot in depth. The Site 2 gaging station would consist of a flume-like structure across the stream channel. Both sites would include the provisions for a pump with conduit for future water quality sampling. Streamside from the flume would be an enclosure for the measuring instruments. Access to Site 1 is provided by a driveway used for the EHWWTP and gravel parking areas near the creek. Site 2 would be accessed from the Latrobe Road right-of-way through the open grassland west of Carson Creek.
