Document Description
The County of Placer has conducted a review of the Placer County General Plan consistent with General Plan Policy 10.A.3 and Implementation Program 10.2 that call for such reviews every five years. As a result of this review, the County is proposing an amendment to update the Countywide General Plan, which was originally adopted in 1994. The objective of the update amendment, which, for CEQA purposes, is the project evaluated in this Intial Study, is to keep the Plan current by making adjustments to reflect changes in conditions, federal and state law requirements, and state and local policies and programs. The Countywide General Plan includes a Background Report and a Policy Document. (The General Plan also includes a series of community plans that are not affected by the update amendment.) The project consists of technical modifications to the Policy Document, including limited policy revisions, modifications to make certain policies consistent with state law, updating implementation programs, and technical changes to the noise section.
