Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in Cooperation with the Modesto City Planning Department, the Stanislaus County Planning Department, and the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) is proposing to widen the entire length of State Route 219. The proposed project would upgrade the existing roadway from a two-lane conventional highway to a four-lane conventional highway. In addition the project would improve intersections with signalization and add a median and clear recovery zone. The Preferred Alternative includes a 61 foot wide median to accommodate additional lanes in the future.
