The project proposes to add one lane in each direction on mainline I-80 from 1.1 kilometers (0.7 mile) west of the Sacramento/ Placer County line to approximately 1.56 kilometers (0.97) east of State Route 65 connector Placer County. Three building alternatives were studied: mixed flow lane; HOV lane; auxiliary lane only.
