Document Description
The San Gabriel River Master Plan will be a consensus-based document that will recognize and address a renewed interest in recreation, open space, and habitat, while also seeking to enhance and maintain flood protection, water conservation benefits, along with existing water rights. The Master Plan identifies over 130 projects along the San Gabriel River that are visions of cities and other stakeholder organizations and incorporate one or more of the Master Plan goals. The Master Plan provides policies and guidelines that help coordinate these independent projects and to facilitate the achievement of the shared vision and goals for the San Gabriel River corridor. In addition, the Master Plan identifies five Concept Design Studies that highlight how project planning can address multiple goals of the Master Plan.
