The District operates the Evaporation Basin to manage the subsurface agricultural drainage from farming operations within the District. The Evaporation Basin is subject to waste discharge requirements (WDRs) issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board in 1993 under its Order No. 93-152. Circumstances have changed since 1993 and the issuance of revised WDRs.
