Document Description
The proposed project is a request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption associated with the construction and operation of a 52,317 square foot commercial grocery store and 219-space parking lot. Two existing buildings on the subject property will be demolished before and during new construction (29,720 sq. ft. market and a 28,452 sq.ft. bank/office/church building). An Oak Tree Permit is also requested to allow for encroachment on the canopy of three existing holly oak trees located in the public-right-of-way adjacent to the south property line on Calaveras Street. Primary vehicle access will be provided on Lake Avenue, Mendocino and Calaveras Streets. Hours of operation will be 24-hours a day 7-days a week. There will be typically 6 sifts in a 24-hour period, with between 8-15 employees working per shift.
