Document Description
The proposed project consists of the drilling and equipping of one potable water production well. It is estimated that the well will be drilled to a depth of 500'-900' with an approximate production of 1,000 gpm of water. The well pumping unit will be a vertical turbine pump with an electric motor. The ground surface surrounding the well will be raised approximately 5' by placement and grading of imported fill in order to elevate the well foundation above the 100-year flood level, in accordance with California Department of Health Services requirements. The finished well site will be paved and surrounded on the perimeter by a 6' chain link fence with appropriate landscaping. The project includes approximately 200' of buried 8" pipeline to connect the well to the existing potable water system located within Ivy Street and New Clay Avenue. This pipeline will be placed within existing or proposed public right-of-way. The project will also include construction of approximately 200' of an 8" pump-to-waste pipeline. This pipeline will, on occasion, discharge into the adjacent drainage basin leading into the Murrieta Creek Basin. During construction, well development and testing water will be discharged via a temporary pipeline to Murrieta Creek in accordance with all applicable requirements of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Diego Region.
