Document Description
The proposed project is a comprehensive effort to undertake wastewater reclamation and reuse in the VVWRA Service Area, which comprises much of Victor Valley in the Mojave Desert. Project objectives are to reduce dependency on groundwater, implement regional water management goals, relieve pressure on existing sewer interceptors, provide a benefit to members of the VVWRA Joint Powers Authority, and conserve potable water. The Preferred Alternative consists of subregional reclamation facilities and recycled water service throughout the service area. Althoug specific locations have not yet been identified, anticipated sites generally correspond to projected demand and are expected to include 2 facilities in Victorville, 1 in Apple Valley and 1 in Hesperia. The combined facilities would treat 7.0-8.5 mgd of wastewater and produce full Title 22 effluent. Primary use of recycled supply would be for landscape irrigation.
