The project site is located within the Ballpark Village Master Plan area, whoch is located east/southeast of the Petco Park ballpark within the Est Village neighborhood of the Centre City Community Plan area.
Document Description
The project consists of the construction and operation of a bus stopover and multi-use faiclity on one city block bounded by A Street, Union Street, B Street, and State Street (located within the Columbia Neighborhood within Downtown San Diego). The bus stopover facility would be used by buses and MTS operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff; no passenger boardings or alightings would take place there. A total of up to 24 bus bays would be needed to provide the required vehicle capacity to serve existing and near future local and BRT services. The multi-use facility would consist of up to approx. 300,000 sq. ft. of office use, 20,000 sq. ft. of retail use, and 280,000 sq. ft. of residential uses. Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15183.3, an Infill Environmental Checklist was prepared for this project documenting why no further CEQA review is required.
