The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California proposes the shutdown and dewatering of the Santiago Lateral in order to inspect and replace valves at various locations along the pipeline. As part of the shutdown and dewatering, untreated water from the pipeline will be discharged to the Santa Ana River and the Robert B. Diemer Filtration Plant.
