The purpose of the project is to acquire approximately 35 acres of river adjacent primarily riparian property and to preserve it in perpetuity as parkland. As such the proposed project fits squarely within the categorical exemption set forth in the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Sec. 15313 (Acquisition of lands for wildlife conservation purpose).
