The project is the approval of a Removal Action Workplan for Gaines Property. The project involves the removal of surface debris and excavation and offsite disposal of approximately 800 cubic yards of soil contaminated with metals. The elevated soil concentrations that will be addressed include up to 28,000 parts per million of lead. This removal action will reduce or eliminate a contaminated source that poses a threat to human life.
