Document Description
Construct 24 ephemeral stream crossings within the Mammoth Bar OHV Area of Auburn State Recreation Area to meet the OHV Soil Conservation Standards, maintain stream integrity, and minimize erosion. Types of crossings to be installed include gravel pad approaches, concrete low water crossings, and gabions. Several culverts will also be installed or replaced. Work will be done when creeks are dry; any excess soil or debris will be removed from the creek following construction, before the start of the rainy season. A DPR-qualified resource ecologist will monitor all construction.
