Document Description
The Operator propose to remove 10,000 cubic yards of gravel per year for five years from Putah Creek, located on the Guenoc Ranch within the Big Basin area in Napa County, to be used on the ranch roads. The proposed project area is approximately 7000 linear feet in length and covers approximately 1,226,500 square feet (28.1 acres). Cross sections of the area have been taken, and the estimated amount of gravel in the top two feet is approximately 90,000 cubic yards. the gravel will be extracted by skimming the surface and loading the gravel into trucks to haul to the stockpile site. All skimming will take place away from the channel and above the water line. A 25-foot buffer shall be maintained from the water's edge. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agrement Number R3-2002-0360 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Magoon Estate, Limited.
