The proposed Project involves the expansion of the existing Potrero Hills Landfill for the addition of approximately 57 million cubic yards of non-hazardous waste within 11 new landfill cells. Project components include the filing-in and relocation of Spring Branch Creek and its tributaries, installation of a drainage piping system, extension of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company power lines, and installation of four water storage tanks and associated water conveyance systems. Compensatory activities include creation, enhancement and restoration of ponds and enhancement of grassland habitat and mitigation lands.
