The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing a federal and state funded to improve the superelevation (banking) of two curves [KP] 33.84-34.13 (post miles (PM) 21.03 and 21.21) and KP 39.67-40.12 (PM 24.65 and 24.93), and install a guardrail at a third location from KP 40.70-40.73 (PM 25.29 to 25.31) on State Route 16 to address safety concerns at those locations.
