Document Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) is proposing to replace several structures at the existing Altaville Forest Fire Station in Angels Camp, Calaveras County. The current facility was built in the 1950s and has several problems and deficiencies that cannot be corrected with renovation of existing structures. The project would provide a new one-engine facility on the site, and would include the following support structures: ten-bed barracks (approximately 2,800 sq ft); 2-bay apparatus building (approximately 1,700 square feet); Bulldozer complimentary facility (approximately 1,990 square feet); and Flammable storage bulding (100 square feet) with two new 2,000 gallon Fuel storage tanks.
