Document Description
This project will provide for a safe and functional entrance station at Prairie City SVRA. The entrance station will be relocated with enough site distance for visitors to be aware of the road conditions while entering or leaving the park. There will be a paved parking lot for visitors and for ranger staff. The total area of the new pavement, including parking and new roads is approximately 38,000 sq. ft. The entrance station is about 1,500 sq. ft. and will include landscaping with shade trees, automatic irrigation systems and a flagpole. The structure will include a restroom for staff and a restroom for visitors. The restrooms will have flush toilets with a septic system. The interior of the station will have an office, storage room, and dressing room with a shower. Space will be provided for four workstations and an area for receiving visitors. The structure will have a drop safe installed in the floor, telephones, radio communications systems, heating, and air conditioning.
