Document Description
The California Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration propose to widen Interstate 205 in San Joaquin County, CA. The proposed project would widen Interstate 205 by adding one mixed flow lane in each direction from just east of Hansen Road just northeast of Paradise Cut at the Interstate 5/Interstate 205 Junction, near Tracy, CA. The widening of Interstate 205 would occur within the existing median and not require acquisition of new right-of-way. In addition, the proposed project would replace existing 1.5-meter inside shoulders with 4.5-meter shoulders eastbound and 3-meter shoulders westbound, replace temporary median barriers with permanent median barriers, and widen structures to accomodate six lanes.
