Document Description
The proposed project is the update of the Fontana General Plan. The total Planning Area is approximately 33,428 acres, with 23,455 acres within City boundaries and 9,973 acres within the City's Sphere of Influence. The proposed project includes changes in land use designations and updates to the circulation system as well as the policies and programs within the City's General Plan. With implementation of the proposed General Plan, the following additional (i.e., future) development would occur with buildout: approximately 11,163 dwelling units, approximately 12,971,733 square feet of commercial, approximately 26,588,015 square feet of industrial, and approximately 888,624 square feet of public uses.
