Document Description
The 2008 Master Plan for Del Mar Fairgrounds and Horsepark, was prepared by the 22nd DAA to plan immediate, near-term projects as well as conceptual, long-term projects for a period of 15 years. The near-term projects are intended to provide maintenance and improvement to the current Fairgrounds facilities, including renovation and modernization of several structures and parking areas, construction of new structures, demolition of structures, and relocation of a maintenance yard and fire station. The long-term projects are conceptual and will provide for maintenance of existing facilities as well as construction of new structures and trails. The long-term projects will require additional planning in the future to define precise building parameters and may require additional environmental analysis. Future projects for the Horsepark remain conceptual in nature and therefore will be subject to CEQA evaluation at a later date and will not be addressed in the 2008 Master Plan EIR.
