Document Description
The project site involves two adjacent parcels totaling 2.5 acres located at 119 North Quarantina Street. The existing facilities on the properties on the properties are the MarBorg waste recycling and transfer station for construction and demolition (C&D) waste (non-hazardous solid waste), and the Pacific Tree Nursery. The project would involve a voluntary lot merger of two parcels involving acquisition of the 0.5-acre nursery parcel and demolition of its on-site structures, and construction of a new metal roof structure to cover the existing uncovered waste recycling/transfer operation. The roof structure is proposed to cover an area of 75,300 square feet, including the reconfigured recovery, sorting, and transfer equipment and operations. Truck queuing and scales will remain outside the roof structure. A separate 1,187 square foot one-story restroom/locker room building and patio area is also proposed for employees. The project includes construction of a 14-foot tall wall along the eastern and northern boundaries of the project site.
