Document Description
The proposed project is to construct a new water treatment facility. The purpose of the project is to treat water from the City of Healdsburg's two Russian River well fields, eliminating an existing seasonal restriction on the use of these wells, and to meet new State standards. After considering other alternatives, the City proposes to construct a single micro-filtration treatment facility at a site adjacent to the City's existing Panorama Reservoir, located at the end of Sunnyvale Drive. An existing 16-inch raw water pipeline connecting the Fitch Well Field and the Tyman Park Reservoirs would be extended approximately 6,500 feet to bring raw water from the Fitch Well Field to the Gauntlett Reservoir. A new booster pump located within the Tayman Park Golf Course, near the #8 fairway, would pump water to the higher Gauntlett Reservoir, where it would be combined with water from the Gauntlett Well Field. From there it would flow by gravity throughout the new treatment facility to the Panorama Reservoir. The City would construct the project in two phases.
