The project is the adoption of waste discharge requirements. The project establishes requirements to regulate discharges of waste from irrigated lands to surface water and groundwater to assure water quality standards are met. Irrigated lands are lands irrigated to produce crops or pasture for commercial purposes; nurseries; and privately and publicly managed wetlands that do not currently discharge under water discharge requirements, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System permits, or other NDPES permits.
