The California Department of Transportation proposes to repair 2 miles (1-mile each section) of the closed highway located on State Route 39. The project proposes to clear 23 culverts of rock materials, build 4 new retaining walls, install four new gates, widen shoulder at the State Route 2/39 intersection, install new metal-beam guardrails, and repave the roadway northern and southern closed sections.
