Document Description
The Bureau of Land Management's Eagle Lake Field Office (BLM) proposes to divert to storage 2 acre-feet annually (afa) of water from an ephemeral Unnamed Stream tributary to Craemer Reservoir thence Horse Lake thence Petes Creek thence Willow Creek thence Susan River thence Honey Lake (a closed basin) in Lassen County, CA. An earthern, pit-type onstream reservoir will be constructed by BLM in the ephemeral Unnamed Stream. This pit-reservoir (Thor Pit) is 100' x 100' x 10' with a capacity of 2 acre-feet. Water will be diverted from March 1 to May 30.

Reasons for Exemption
1. The project involves minor alterations in the condition of land, water and/ or vegetation which does not result in significant loss of mature natural vegetation (e.g., unique habitat, mature scenic trees, riparian vegetation or marshlands). 2. There is no grading proposed on land with a slope of more than 10 percent, in a waterway, in any wetland, in an officially designated (by federal, state, or local government action) scenic area, or in officially mapped areas of severe geologic hazard. 3. This project will not cause significant adverse impacts on any sensitive environment and will not result in significant cumulative impacts. 4. There are no unresolved protests. 5. The California Department of Fish and Game has stated that the project, as proposed herein, will not negatively impact local wildlife and beneficial uses.
