Council Approval of a Community Plan Amendment, rezone, public right-of-way vacations and site development permit. The proposal consists of the redevelopment of areas surrounding the San Diego Police Pistol Range to accommodate the relocation of the Police Department Vehicle Maintenance Facility from 12th and K Streets in the East Village, Redevelopment of the site involves the construction of a new Vehicle Maintenance Facility (west of the Pistol Range) and a new K-9/SWAT facility (east of the Pistol Range). The proposed project site is located at the northeast corner of the Home Avenue/Federal Boulevard intersection currently occupied by the Police Department K-9/SWAT facility within the City Heights neighborhood of the Mid-City Communities 17; portions of Blocks 40 and 41.
