Document Description
The proposed project consists of the replacement of the Fallon Road Bridge (Bridge Number 43C-0032) over the Santa Ana Creek, in order to restore vehicular access across the Santa Ana Creek and to increase the level of earthquake safety for traffic on Fallon Road. The new bridge will essentially be constructed along the original alignment, within the existing right-of-way. The proposed bridge will be approximately 40'-8" wide, 60' long and will have two 12' lanes and 8' shoulders. The replacement bridge will be approximately six feet wider on each side than the existing bridge. The two-span bridge will be built on the same alignment as the existing bridge and will require the contractor to install six piles across the creek channel and associated wetlands, which is a reduction in the number of piles from the existing bridge.
