The project is a request by eleven property owners, residing on the west side of Barbara Avenue, for a Text Amendment to modify provisions of the Hillside Overlay Zone to permit limited development activity on steep slopes (25%+ inclination) within the Barbara Avenue Hillside. The Text Amendment would add separate development standards and review criteria, which are performance-based for two hillside areas in Hillside and Santa Helena/Lomas Santa Fe Hillside, both of which exist in an unnatural state.
