Document Description
The Education Excellence Center (EEC) is designed to enable existing students to access a wide variety of services geared toward enhancing their academic success. Due to the growing number of current students attracted to these services, the services must be expanded, easily accessible, close to one another, and coordinated. The new EEC addresses these issues in a creative, and user-friendly manner. The EEC is proposed as a three-level structure designed to blend in with the natural topography of the site. The total square footage of the building would be 29,438 gross square feet. Upon completion, the EEC will serve the existing student population of the College by providing student services and faculty office space. The facility would provide for the following types of space:
-A unified transfer/honors center,
-A multidisciplinary student success center,
-A college-wide assessment center,
-Technology rich computer labs,
-A distance education program and service,
-The gateways to teaching program,
-The office of professional development,
-Faculty offices, and
-Multi-use tutorial facility.
