Document Description
The Project would renovate and expand the Pasadena Conference Center in order to provide modern amenities and facilities that would make it competitive with other conference centers in the region. The Project would involve the addition of 211,320 sf of new floor area, exclusive of parking and the Ice Skating Center. With the proposed demolition of the Exhibition Hall, this represents a net increase of 134,320 sf on the Project site. In addition, the project would include the conversion of the Ice Skating Center to its previous ballroom space. Finally, the proposed Project would replace the majority of the subterranean parking with a seven-level, 1,216 space parking structure. While the proposed Project would allow the operator to better accommodate future events by providing modern amenities, the size of events held at the new Conference Center would be similar to what is currently accommodated at the site, and maximum daily attendance levels at Conference Center events are not anticipated to increase in the future.
