Document Description
Project proposes to provide Class II north-south connection through the communities of Normal Heights between Adams Avenue and Wightman Street. It would connect with the existing Class III facility along Wightman Street. This proposed bikeway would intersect the proposed top priority project to upgrade the Class III facility along Wightman to a Class II facility. 35th Street would connect many destinations within the community including an elementary school near University Avenue and Adams Avenue Park. Although this project is proposed as Class II one block of Class III must be implemented between University Avenue and Polk Avenue due to street width and parking considerations. The improvements would include bikeway and destination signage as well.
