Document Description
The project is limited to trench excavation in beach sands to create a low trench flow outlet path from the terminus of the Pajaro River Lagoon to the Pacific Ocean. The dimensions of the excavated trench prior to breaching of the lagoon will be 10 feet wide, 3 feet deep and between 250 and 1,000 linear feet long. After the lagoon breaches, trench dimensions are expected to increase between 50 to 100 feet wide and decrease to between 1 to 2 feet deep. Trench length is not expected to change. Project activity shall take place after October 15 and before April 15. The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2013-0232-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Bruce LaClergue, Santa Cruz County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, County of Santa Cruz Department of Public Works.
