Document Description
The proposed project is to deliver up to 37,700 acre ft of MWD's non-SWP water to SCVWD in 2010 in exchange for future delivery of an equal amount of SCVWD's SWP water supply to facilitate delivery of GCID transfer water to MWD. The transfer water is currently stored in Shasta Reservoir pursuant to an agreement between Reclamation and GCID and, when released by Reclamation, will flow down the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta to the State Water Project's Banks Pumping Plant and be delivered to SCVWD through the South Bay Aqueduct. Future deliveries to MWD will be through the California Aqueduct from Banks Pumping Plant or San Luis Reservoir.
