Document Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California proposes additional activities in conjunction with construction of the Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant (Skinner Plant) Expansion No. 4 and Oxidation Retrofit Program (ORP) projects. The environmental effects from the construction and operation of these projects were evaluated in the Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant Reliability and Quality Program Final Program Environmental Impact Report (Final PEIR). Subsequent to the certification of the Final PEIR in July 2003, additional activities were found to be required in conjunction with construction. These activities include: an additional 10.3-acre construction use area north of Tucalota Creek, a temporary crossing of the creek to the ORP construction site, additional fencing along Benton Road within the Skinner Plant property, and a change in work hours to permit 24-hour shifts during construction.
