Document Description
Approval of the Remedial Action Plan for remediation of the former HS Mann Metals facility (APN #s 350-031-04 & 350-031-07) hereafter referred to as the "site". The RAP provides background informatin on the site, the results of previous investigations, and remidal action alternatives evaluation. The alternatives evaluation lists the eight remedial action alternatives considered in the previously approved Feasibiliity Study (FS) and the RAP presents a description of the preferred remedial action alternative selected (Alternative 5) for the site in the FS and RAP. Alternative 5 involves excavation of approximately 7,770cubic yards of lead contaminated soil and building demolition debris off-site disposal of approximately7,040 CY of contaminated soil and debris at a Class 1 landfill, and reuses of 730 CY of soil as on-site fill material. Off-site contaminated soil will be excavated to a residential lead cleanup level of255mg/kg, and on-site soil will be excavated to a industrial lead cleanup level of 750mg/kg. Off-site soil with concentrations below the 750 mg/kg limit will be reused as fill for on-site excavations.
