Document Description
Test excavate an area approximately 25,800 square feet to determine the perimeter and the extent and condition of the foundations of the Immigration Station Administration Building at Angel Island State Park. Excavations will also examine a mound of soil located in the northwest portion of the footprint of the Administration Building and investigate and document the existence of a tar path on the South Slope drainage site to document the historic path and remaining features. All excavations will be concentrated on the north, east and west sides of the footprint. Site will be recorded to current standards and a permanent datum established to assist in the protection, preservation and interpretation of the resource.
