Document Description
Remove the Tin Can Ranch Rod and Dam at Castle Rock State Park to eliminate sedimentation from failed dam spillway into the San Lorenzo River and restore natural drainage and topographical features. Stabilize areas disturbed during demolition and revegetate with native plants. Project will support and protect native plants, Coho Salmon, steelhead, andother natural resources in the vicinity of the dam and watershed.

Project consists of minor alterations of existing public structures (dam removal), facilities (road removal), and topographical features, involving negligible expansion of use beyond current levels (included as "streambed restoration" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's (DPR's) list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR Sec 15300.4); and minor alterations in the condition of land, water, and vegetation which will not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees, and included as "resource management projects" in DPR's list of exempt activities.
